Cameron & Jacob Capps

an elegant historic home November wedding

Fuquay-Varina, nc

Cameron & Jacob are college sweethearts. They met at the Chick-Fil-A on UNC Wilmington's campus. They got to know each other through the campus ministry, Cru and started dating their Freshman year. Cameron had organized a group of Cru friends to go to the opening night of the live-action Beauty and the Beast, and had encouraged Jacob to come - which he interpreted as a sign that she might like him. Jacob sat next to Cameron during the movie and they ended up holding hands for the first time! That was over 5 years ago. Flash forward to February of 2022, where Jacob proposed to Cami in New York City. Cameron's sister, aunt, and cousins surprised her with an engagement party back at her dad's house.

Their wedding day was one for the books. To set the scene, their venue was the gorgeous High Grove Estate in Fuquay-Varina, NC: a timeless, white historic home with a peaceful ceremony space in the backyard and a spacious reception hall on the property. The venue was classic and beautiful to photograph. The wedding colors were gentle greens and blues to compliment the classic black and white. The flowers were expertly done by Flowers On Broad Street, and the mastery of the hairstyles were done by Ashley from Curl + Co.

But what really made their day beautiful was the couple themselves. Jacob and Cameron are both tenderhearted, loving, sweet people. Their love for the Lord shines through them so vividly, and exceptionally so on their wedding day. The long awaited day was full of excitement and loving anticipation. The emotion on their faces during their first look says it all - and don't even get me started about how he gazed at his bride coming down the aisle.

This wedding was truly special to photograph, not just because I get to call them my friends, but because of how evident other's love was for them together. Their families wept with appreciation for one another, countless stories and laughs were shared about them both individually and together, and they received such genuine encouragement and support from their loved ones that day. And, oh yeah, the reception was SO. MUCH. FUN!

I am eager to see their love story continue to unfold. I will always look back on that day with such joy and honor.

Here's to the Capps.
