Trey & Alicia

a joyful wedding celebration in historic downtown

Wilmington, NC

Trey & Alicia met while both attending UNCW. They got to know each other as friends before starting to date during their Sophomore year. They both share a deep love for Jesus, and are excited to be starting their lives together with God as their foundation.

Their wedding day radiated peace and joy. They chose to get married at the Brooklyn Arts Center: a stunning historic church-turned-venue in the heart of Downtown Wilmington. The space has the most romantic large windows and exposed brick walls.

The wedding was classic and sweet with colors of black, dusty pink and silver. Flowers were beautifully done with flowers supplied by Castle Hayne Farms. Beauty was done was by Beauty Crew Mobile. The day was planned and coordinated by Do Me A Favor Weddings. I also had the delight of working alongside MK Vantage Film, who shot their wedding video.

The couple shared private vows during their first look, which took place up in the romantic balcony of the Brooklyn Arts Center. The ceremony was Christ-centered and so, so sweet. They were surrounded with love and support from everyone in the room.

The reception was a true celebration. Everyone was on the dance floor, thanks to Atlantic Premier Entertainment. Conga lines, limbo and crowd-surfing ensued. Guests were waving light batons and flower girls were spinning with joy and laughter. The speeches left everyone in tears. Delicious food was provided by Middle of the Island. The night ended with a sweet last dance and a dazzling sparkler exit. It was a blast.

Alicia and Trey were the sweetest clients. They trusted in my work, and worked with me to capture one of my favorite weddings to date. Their love for each other and for Jesus was evident in their wedding and throughout the planning process. It was a delight to form a friendship with them and an honor to photograph their day.

Cheers!
