Nolan & Meredith

a romantic wedding in the heart of historic downtown

Nolan & Meredith are college sweethearts. They met while living on the same dorm hallway. They became best friends and ended up falling for each other! Nolan proposed in the fall of 2022, and in September of 2023 I had the privilege of photographing their beautiful wedding day.

The day was full of joy from start to finish. We began at the Belle Vue, where Meredith and the bridesmaids were getting ready. With music pumping and mimosas flowing, the day was off to a great start. A surprise chauffeur arrived to take the girls to the venue, and my second shooter went off to photograph the guys getting ready.

The ceremony and reception was held at the wonderful 128 South in the heart of downtown, Wilmington. The wedding vibe was classically romantic with colors of black, dusty rose and a deep red wine. Flowers were done by the amazing Among The Wildflowers. All the stunning hair and makeup was by Dalisay salon. The talented Design A Dream Events orchestrated the whole day flawlessly.

The couple opted to do a first look, which literally left Nolan speechless (I mean, look at her). They followed it with the sweetest private vows to each other. The ceremony was exceptionally sentimental. As each family member proceeded down the aisle, they left a hand-written note in a wooden box for the couple. Every detail of the day was full of love from the people that surrounded them.

The reception was full of tender speeches and warm laughs. Meredith and her dad wowed everyone with a memorable father daughter dance. Active Entertainment brought the party, and everyone was having a blast on the dance floor. The night finished off with a sparkler send off and a fun outfit change by the bride.

​

Meredith and Nolan were a dream to work with, from booking until delivery. Their wedding made very evident how deeply loved they are and how much they love each other. It was such an honor to be a part of the day.
