Anna & Josh

a sentimental wedding celebration in historic downtown

Wilmington, NC

Anna & Josh actually went to the same high school, but didn't meet until their last year in college at UNCW! Josh asked Anna to go on a walk and they started going on many walks together and quickly fell in love.

Their wedding day, much like their engagement session, was full of joy and fun. They got married at the Saint Thomas Preservation Hall: a charming historic church-turned-venue in the heart of Downtown Wilmington. The building boasts romantic large windows, which really showed off during their sunset ceremony.

The color palette for the wedding were beautiful shades of olive green and tan. Flowers were beautifully done by Jennifer Daniels. Hair was expertly done was by Beauty & Bloom. The day was planned and coordinated by Detailed Event Visions. I also had the delight of working once again alongside MK Vantage Film, who shot their wedding video!

The couple shared private vows during their first touch, which took place on the side of the romantic historic building. The ceremony was Christ-centered and so sweet. The whole room joined in worshipping God through song, and the room erupted with joy when the couple was announced as husband and wife for the first time.

The reception was a vibrant celebration, complete with the honored couple being lifted into the air. Everyone was smiling and dancing, thanks to Atlantic Premier Entertainment. Both the father and bride dance and the mother and groom dance were surprise choreographed fun performances! The speeches were heartfelt, funny, and full of theatrics (especially from the bride's dad). Delicious food was provided by City Club of Wilmington, who also lent their beautiful courtyard to us for the couple's photos. The yummy cake was made by Deb Ferabee. The night ended with a sweet last dance between the couple and a dazzling sparkler exit. So much fun!

Anna and Josh truly became friends over the course of our time working together. They are so full of joy and love to have fun. It was so sweet being connected to them through a previous client. Throughout the process they continually wanted to glorify the Lord and keep Jesus at the center. It was an honor to work with them and capture their wedding day.

Cheers!
